Dr. John W. Larner Jr.

April 20, 1938 – June 10, 2024          

Dr. John “Jack” W. Larner Jr., 86, of Altoona, passed away Monday. He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late John W. Sr. and Emily (Dugan) Larner. He married Bernadine Buseman in 1967.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years; four daughters; three sons; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dr. Larner earned his Doctorate from WVU. He retired as a professor from IUP and also taught at Penn State Altoona and St. John’s College in Newfoundland.                 

He enjoyed trains and camping.
