Feb 20, 1957 – November 3, 2024
Duncan P. McIntyre, 67, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Paul and Margaret (Slippy) McIntyre.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Judith (Richards); a sister, Paulette Snyder in CO; and a niece, Alison McIntyre; and four great-nieces and nephews.
Duncan graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1975 and earned a BS in Business from Juniata College in 1979.
He retired from Colony Realty Group in 2022 after working as a real-estate agent for over 20 years.
Duncan was Past Master of Hollidaysburg Lodge No. 220 F&AM; an Honorary 33rd Degree Mason in AASR Valley of Altoona; a member of Mountain Commandery No. 10; Mountain Council No. 9; Mount Moriah Royal Arch Chapter No. 166; Seven Mountains Council No. 65; Royal Cross of Constantine; Chief Logan Forest No. 131, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; the Grand Council of Allied Masonic Degrees; and the Jaffa Shriners.
He enjoyed singing, fishing, and listening to music. Duncan was very active in the Masonic community and loved participating in live degree work conferring Scottish Rite degrees.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm on Tuesday November 12, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service and Masonic service will immediately follow beginning at 4pm.
