Edward J. Heverly

April 20, 1956 – April 5, 2025

Edward J. Heverly, 68, of Altoona, passed away Saturday from an automobile accident.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Samuel and Joan (Weakland) Heverly.

Surviving are two sisters: Susan Shannon in AL, and Mary Jo Laughlin of Hollidaysburg; a brother, Samuel of Altoona; many nieces and nephews; and a friend, Denny Gibson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin in 2019.

Ed graduated from Altoona High School and worked as a Harley Davidson mechanic.

He enjoyed fixing HD motorcycles, spending time with family and friends, and feeding wild animals.

Friends will be received from 10am-11:30am Thursday, April 24, 2025 at St. Thomas More Church, where a funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:30am.
