Edward “Bud” D. Schroeder, 73, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Max Frederick Albert Schroeder Jr. and Thelma Almeda (Gin) Smith.
Surviving are daughter, April Schroeder (Timothy) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Tiffani, Harley, Trinity, and Morgan; two sisters: Patricia “Patty” Ann Harter and Tanta Lee Mountain; a brother, Robert “Bobby” William Schroeder. He always had a special place in his heart for his stepson, Heath Hollabaugh.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Joan Althea Snyder, Max Frederick Albert Schroeder, Jacqueline “Boots” Grace Packard, Sydney “Bussie” Calvin Schroeder, Sonja Kay Schroeder, Tonia Lynn Schroeder.
He served in the USMC and retired as a Maintenance Man. Bud attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
Bud enjoyed building model cars. When he was younger, he enjoyed working on cars. His daughter and granddaughter were his world.
