Elda M. (Niswonger) Ritchey

Elda M. (Niswonger) Ritchey, 89, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Cedarwood. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Viola Niswonger. She married Edward Ritchey who preceded her in death in 1989 after sharing 33 years of marriage.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Kim Kechisen (Steve) and Sue King; a son, Steve (Sandra); 8 grandchildren: Eric, Steve Jr., Rachel, April, Jessica, Damien, Nicholas, and Dustin; 15 great – grandchildren; and a sister, Geraldine Niswonger.

She was preceded in death by a sister and 5 brothers.                              

Elda enjoyed knitting and reading.

Friends will be received from noon – 2pm Saturday October 5, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm.  

Private interment at Alto Reste Park.
