Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann (Cliber) Koelle

July 2, 1949 – Oct. 11, 2024

Elizabeth “Betsy” A. (Cliber) Koelle, 75, of Hollidaysburg passed away Friday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Leo T. and Lois J. (Hecht) Cliber.

She married Richard L. Koelle on Feb. 29, 1972. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2009.

Surviving are her daughter, Janelle Wertz and husband Brady; two sons: Scott and wife Tammy, and Patrick and wife Angela; seven grandchildren: Jakob, Lincoln, Kolton, Braeden, Brenton, Lily, and Alexis; and two brothers: David and partner Rich and Michael Cliber.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill and two infant sons: Michael, and Jamie.

Betsy attended Altoona High School and graduated from Altoona Beauty School.

She retired from General Cable.

Betsy was a member of the American Legion Post 516 Ladies Auxiliary and The Allegheny Club.          

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crafting, playing cards, and camping.  

Friends will be received from 12-2pm and 4-6pm Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6pm with Pastor Dave Schaffer officiating.
