Ethel L. (Flippo) Pavey, 81, of Altoona, formerly of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away Monday at Maybrook Hills. She was born in Fredericksburg, daughter of the late Buster and Ruby (Graves) Flippo. She married James L. Pavey in 1962, he preceded her in death in 2009.

Surviving are three daughters: Norma Pavey of Coalport, Gloria Bennett and husband Gordon Sr. of Coalport, Bonnie Ennis and husband Donald of Spotsylvania, VA; a son, Gary Pavey of Spotsylvania, VA; 9 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by all her siblings: Kathern Ennis, Gus Flippo, and Charles Flippo.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family. She loved children.
