Evelyn N. (White) Monahan

Evelyn N. (White) Monahan, 82, of Lakemont, passed away Friday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Mountain) White. She married Thomas Monahan, who preceded her death in 2022 after sharing 30+ years.

Surviving is her son, Mark Yingling, of Portage; two sisters: Carol Miller of Duncansville and Norma Irvin in FL; and several nieces and a nephew.

She was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired as a corrections officer from the Blair County Prison.

Evelyn enjoyed golfing, going to the casino, and bowling.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12 noon, Monday, May 5, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon.

Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
