Forrest “Bud” Moyer, 92, of Duncansville passed away Wednesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late
Alvin and Virginia (Confer) Moyer. He married Doris (Davis) Moyer on June 4, 1953.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years; three sons: Alvin (Mary Ann), Dave (Raquel), and Bill (Jenifer); and three
granddaughters: Samantha Wills (Chad), Alex Hoffman (D.J.), and Grace Magaha (Tyler).
Bud was a 1952 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and enlisted in the Army after graduation. After
two years of service, he returned to Altoona and began working for Moyer Brothers, which spanned into a
decades long career in construction.
He loved to travel, drive through the mountains, and was an avid follower of the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins,
and Penn State.
