Franklin D. Hoover, 81, of Lakemont, went home to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday. He was born in Lakemont, son of the late Marie (Hoover) Clark.
Surviving are a daughter, Traci Hainley and husband, Bob of Altoona; a son, Frank and wife, LaShae of New Paris; three grandchildren: Devin, Casey, and Dane; a great grandson, Rhett Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Roy, and Curtis and a special aunt, Gertrude Bradley.
Frank graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1959 and retired as a Rehab Supervisor from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation after 43 years service.
He attended Grace Bible Church. Frank was a member of Heidelberg Country Club, Park Hills Country Club, and a 30 plus year member of Eldorado Kiwanis Club.
Frank loved playing golf, traveling, and being a snowbird in Dade City, FL. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being a community volunteer most of his life.
Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm Saturday February 4, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm with Pastor Lou Hileman officiating.
Private interment at Alto Reste Park.
