Gary K. Johnson

Feb 16, 1963 – July 21, 2025

Gary K. Johnson, 62, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Howard and Madalyn (Holland) Johnson.

Surviving is his partner of 21 years, Jamie Miller of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Lindsay Reffner and husband Corey of Claysburg; son, Troy and wife, Brooke of Huntingdon; two grandchildren: Regan and Reed; a sister-in-law Mabel “Kay” Clabaugh; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1981 and graduated from Pronto’s Beauty School.

He founded Shear Designs Hair & Nail Salon in 1998, where he still worked as a hairdresser.

Gary was active in numerous local Churches.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, friends, and family.  He supported local charitable organizations.

Friends will be received from 12 noon to 3pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3pm with Pastor Tiffany Marvich officiating.
