George R. Socash, 59, of Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Phillipsburg, son of the late Fredrick Sr. and Mary (Myers) Socash. He married Connie Marlett in 2017.
Surviving are his wife of 8 years; one daughter, Lisa Watkins; one granddaughter, Dezi; four sisters: Kimberly Hudak, Tracy Mulhall, Dawn Marie, and Tammy Jo; three brothers, Fredick Jr., Glenn, and Shawn; and three dogs: Shebba, Casper, and Patches.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Sewell.
George enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
