Geraldine L. (Loucks) Dillon

July 29, 1941 – May 23, 2025

Geraldine L. (Loucks) Dillon, 83, of Altoona, passed away Friday.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Orville and Geraldine (Cashman) Loucks.  She married Lawrence E. Dillon, who preceded her in death in 2010 after sharing 47 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Judy Rabits (Craig), and Gerry Luther, all of Altoona; three grandchildren: Patrick, Phillip, and Kiersten (Sean); four sisters: Judy Kifer, Carol Pritt, Linda Connell and Patty Hazlett; a brother, Patrick Loucks; a sister-in-law, Lily Woytowicz; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Cashman and Gerald Loucks; a step-mother, Carol Loucks; and a father-in-law, John Long.

She graduated from Altoona High School in 1959 and worked in the office at the Altoona Shoe factory and Hardees in the Logan Valley Mall for 16 years, and then retired from Anderson Electronics in Hollidaysburg.

Geraldine was a member of the Ladies Sewing Circle of the Mill Run Mennonite Church.

She was a member of Altoona Bible Church.

Geraldine enjoyed bowling in the Friday Night Christian Mix, where she served as Secretary for more than 25 years.

Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service immediately follow at 1pm with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating.

Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
