Glenda L. Forshey

Glenda Lorraine Forshey, 96, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Emory J. and Mildred (Kroll) Langham. She married Lloyd A. Forshey Sr., who preceded her in death in 2019, after sharing 73 years of marriage.

Surviving are two sons: Lloyd A. Jr. and wife, Regina and Guy E. and wife, Nancy; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Shaffer and Beverly Joyce Stevens.

Glenda graduated from Altoona High School and retired from Gardner Candies. She was a member of Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church and a former member of Hollidaysburg Alumni Chorus. Glenda also taught Sunday School and Bible School.

She enjoyed playing cards, working on puzzle books, and having visits from her sons and their wives. Glenda loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and socializing with friends.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3pm Wednesday November 8, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm.

Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
