Harland Shumaker Obituary

Nov 9, 1945 – May 7, 2024

Harland D. Shumaker, 78, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edward and Hazel (Bower) Shumaker. He married Harriett Africa in 1968.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years; a daughter, Kim Hoover; two sons: Harland D. II and Todd Shumaker; two grandchildren: Levi and Bay Leigh; and a sister, Barbara Foster.

He was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Harland loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
