Harold J. Lynn

Harold J. Lynn, 76, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday. He was born in Erie, son of the late Henry A. and Ethel (Jukes) Lynn. He married Sondra Roush in 1967. Surviving are his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Lorrie Hetager and husband Christian of Gallitzin; a son, Jeffrey and wife Christine of Duncansville; three grandchildren: Ian, Nathaniel, Elizabeth; a brother, Henry A. Jr.; a niece, Julie; and a nephew, Skip

Harold graduated from North East High School in 1962 and retired from the USMC Reserves after 30 years as a Sgt Major combat Veteran. He also retired as an engineer with Verizon after 32 years.

He was active in the Marine Corps League, where he was formerly the Commandant; a member of the Gideons International, where he personally distributed thousands of Bibles; and he was an Eagle Scout. Harold was a member of Juniata Valley Gospel Church and enjoyed hunting, Civil War Reenacting, and competition shooting. He was inducted into the North East Athletics Hall of Fame for Track & Field.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
