Harry “Buss” C. Garman, 93, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harvey and Helen (Socie) Garman. He married Donna Barndollar, who preceded him in death in 2000 after sharing 49 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan White and husband Dennis of Duncansville; a son, John and wife Debra of Hollidaysburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters: Betty Baker, Nora Zapotoczny, Judy Lynn, and Cathy Woods; and a brother, Steve.
Buss was preceded in death by a son, Robert in 2003; and siblings: Don, Roger, and Beverly Thomas.
He retired from Berwind-White Rail Shops after 20 years as a welder.
Buss was a member of St Patrick Church in Newry, and he was a great outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, rifle shoots, and throwing horseshoes.
Friends will be received from 12-2pm on Thursday Sept 11, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 2pm with Fr. Alan P. Zeth officiating.
Private interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
