Harry C. Greenleaf Jr.

April 27, 1930 – Dec 10, 2025

Harry C. Greenleaf Jr., 95, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harry Sr. and Florence (Baker) Greenleaf.  His partner was Joan Butler, who preceded him in death in 2014 after sharing 40 years together.

Surviving are two daughters: Glennette Yingling and Betty Jo Aungst; seven sons: Donald, Timothy, and David Greenleaf, and Ben Butler, Ralph, Phil, and Steve Helsley; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four siblings.

Harry was the last surviving member of his unit in the US Army.

He retired as a general contractor and was a member of the Hollidaysburg Sportsmen’s Asso.

Harry was a life member of Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Nittany Antique Machinery Asso.  

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering in the wood shop, and fixing antique tractors.           

Friends will be received from 3-5pm Friday Dec 12, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service with Military Honors will follow at 5pm, Pastor Tiffany Marvich officiating.

Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
