Hazel A. (Smith) Snowberger

Hazel A. (Smith) Snowberger, 95, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born at home in Allegheny Township, daughter of the late Millard and Elizabeth E. (Wysong) Smith. She married Orville Glenn Snowberger in 1946, he preceded her in death in 2000 after 54 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Dick and husband Ricky of Roaring Spring; two sons: Larry G. and wife Janice of Duncansville, and James R. and wife Jeannie of Roaring Spring; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Summers of Martinsburg, and Joyce Weyant in IN.

Hazel was preceded in death by siblings: Shirley Claar, Darlene Harr, and Cloyd J. Smith. She retired as the main cook at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, and was a member of Faith Bible Church, Bellwood.  She enjoyed embroidery, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and bowling.

All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.  Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
