Homer E. Leaper, 95, of Breezewood, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Howard Jr. and Bertha Marie (Delozier) Leaper. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Miller, after sharing 27 years of marriage; and his partner of 29 years, Ann Dionis. He then married Joanne Smith in 2013.
Surviving are his wife of 13 years; three daughters: Vallarie Iapalucci and husband, Tony, Jeanette Brown and partner, Eugene, and Michele Smith and husband, Warren; two sons: Scott and wife Sue, and Erik and wife Tracey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Marcy Leaper.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin, in 2012.
Homer graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1948 and proudly served in the US Air Force during Korea.
He retired from the USPS after 30 years as a clerk.
Homer was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, The Horseshoe Seniors, and The Golden Nuggets.
He enjoyed family gatherings, bowling, golfing, dancing, and playing chess.
Friends will be received from 12 noon - 2pm on Thursday, Jan 15, 2026, at Sorge Funeral home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service with Military Honors will follow at 2pm.
