Jack A. Trexler, 81, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Clair E. and Ruth L. (Benton) Trexler. He first married Margaret “Peggy” Carlin, who preceded him in death, and then married Kellie Davis.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years; a son, Stephen; 2 grandchildren: Gauge and Kylee; 4 great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Kylie Socie; two step-sons: Matt and Dustin Socie; 7 step-grandchildren: Sarah, Tristan, Matthew, Abigal, Leila, Alivia, and Gavin; two sisters: Diane Walmer of Akron and Janet Beasom of Harrisburg; and two brothers: Donald of Mechanicsburg and Robert of Mt. Joy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Trexler; a sister, Shirley Keirn; and two brothers: Raymond and Clair “Jim” Trexler.
Jack was a 1962 graduate of Altoona Area High School and served in the U.S. Army.
He worked at Veeder Root, Conrail as a machinist/block operator, and SKF.
Jack enjoyed Jaffa skating, baseball, boating, and being with his family and dogs.
A celebration of life will be held at a later.
