Jacqueline M. (Stratton) Nedimyer

June 14, 1962 – April 3, 2023

Jacqueline M. (Stratton) Nedimyer, 60, of Altoona, passed away Monday.  She was born in Buckhannon, WV, daughter of Barbara (McCarty) and the late John Stratton.  She married Raymond J. Nedimyer in 1989.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years; two daughters: Amber Bennett, and Bethany Nedimyer; a son, Sean  and wife Caitlin; six grandchildren: Alia, Ziva, Kadince, Keirnan, Mickey, and Memphis; and a great-grandson; and her mother of Hollidaysburg.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph Nedimyer, and mother-in-law, MaryEllen Nedimyer.

Jacquie graduated from Hollidaysburg High School, the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, and Mt. Aloysius College with a BS in nursing.

She retired as a RN at UPMC Altoona after 32 years service.

Jacquie was a member of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Asso.

She was a member of Altoona Alliance Church, where she sang, played the mandolin and guitar, and volunteered with the children’s programs.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, extended family, and her pets.

Friends will be received from 4-6pm on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6pm with Pr. Tim McGarvey officiating.
