May 10, 1952 – June 15, 2025
James E. Beckenbaugh Jr., 73, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Lewistown, son of the late James Sr. and Hope (Wilson) Beckenbaugh. He married Debra Pike in 1993.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years; three daughters: Sheree Royer and husband Matthew in NV, Daffany Nance in VA, Amanda Beckenbaugh of Souderton; a son, Sean Teis and wife Jackie of Duncansville; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Wilson of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Youtzy.
Jim graduated from Lewistown HS in 1970 and Ice Cream University in 2005.
He was proprietor of Deep Six Dive Shop and Top of the Mast Boat Covers, owner of Easy Vend Inc., Clementine’s BBQ, Carwash Inc., and Cold Stone Creamery stores in Altoona and State College.
Jim was a PADI Course Director, member of Warriors Mark Wingshooting Club, and Love In Action International Ministry, where he traveled to Bolivia to help establish an orphanage. He served as a board member of God Is My Dad Ministry.
He enjoyed SCUBA diving, bird hunting with his German shorthair pointers, and cooking for his family.
Friends will be received from 11am – 1pm on Friday June 20, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will follow at 1pm, Pastor Sean Teis officiating.
