James E. Crotzer, 76, of Duncansville, passed away Saturday. He was born in Johnstown, son of the late James I. Jr. and Gloria (Radar) Crotzer. He married Darlene Kolasa in 1997.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years; a daughter, Melissa Black (Donald); three stepsons: Earl Getty Jr. (Courtney), Jason Getty (Brandy), and John Getty (Destine); grandchildren: Dana, Krista, Bella, and Evan; great grandchildren: Alaiyah and Amiyah; a brother, Thomas Crotzer (Bernadette); a nephew, Thomas Crotzer (Tammy); a niece, Jeanette Monteith (David); and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Jim retired as Secretary Treasurer/Business Manager from Laborers International Union of North America, Local 910 in Johnstown, where he was a Gold Star Member. He was a former Executive, Training, and Combined Funds Board Member of Laborer’s District Council of Pittsburgh.  He was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 8724, and the Heidelberg Country Club in Altoona.

Jim enjoyed playing pool, traveling to the beach, and spending time with his family.  He enjoyed Friday night dinners with his friends.

Friends will be received from 1-3pm on Friday May 10, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm.
