James Lafferty Obituary

James C. Lafferty, 66, of Altoona, passed away Thursday at his residence. He was born in Frankstown, son of the late David and Elizabeth (Lumadue) Lafferty. He married Nancy J. Carl in 1983, she preceded him in death in 2020.
Surviving are a daughter, Jamie Dibeler and husband Rory of Harrisburg; two sons: James II and wife Kate, and Trenton, all of Altoona; a grandson, Jackson; three brothers: David, Bernie, and Kenny; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Strayer.
Jim attended Hollidaysburg High School and retired as a laborer in manufacturing.
He enjoyed fishing at Canoe Creek and spending time with his chihuahuas.
A memorial service will be held at 5pm on Friday, Nov 12, 2021 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
