James R. Noel Sr.

April 9, 1944 - March 17, 2024          

James R. Noel Sr., 79, of Tyrone, passed away Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Warren Sr. and Orpha (Sanders) Noel.

Surviving are his wife, of 60 years, Susan (Faust); a daughter, Terri Noel; five sons: James Jr., Kevin, Dave, Brian, and Scott; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sisters: Marlene Lardieri and Mary Ann Riley.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakota Noel in 2016, and siblings: Warren, Cathy Rossbach, William, Maureen, and Trish Vasas.

Jim retired from Cove Shoe Co. in 2002 after 24 years as a laborer.

He enjoyed trains, models, working on cars, building things, singing, and whistling.

There will be no public services at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
