James W. Patterson

James W. Patterson, 79, Bellwood, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Claysburg, son of the late James A. and Mary (Leonard) Patterson.

Surviving are two sons: Gregory Scott of Altoona and Jason Alan of Pittsburgh; six sisters: Beverly, Marlene, Marion, Peachie, Charlene and Jackie; five brothers: twin John, Kenny, Woody, King and Rodney; and his companion, Jean Morris.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Vanormer; his second wife, Joann Thompson; two sisters: Barbara Jean and Star; and a brother, Robert "Mike."

James attended Altoona High School and retired from the maintenance de­partment of C-COR Electron­ics, Tipton.

He enjoyed singing karao­ke, carpentry and working on cars.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Duayne Coy presiding. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James' name may be made to American Lung Association or to one's fav­orite charity.
