Jane E. (Sollers) Gates

Jane E. (Sollers) Gates, 101, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at Homewood. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ray and Adda (Price) Sollers. She married J. Glenn Gates who preceded her in death in 2009 after sharing 63 years of marriage. 
Surviving are two daughters: Cheryl Rawlings (Jack) of Altoona and Kathy Kauffman (Bud) in NC.; two grandchildren: BJ Kauffman of Camp Hill and Nancy Kauffman in NC; and many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Jane graduated from Saltillo High School in 1939 and Riggs Lamar Beauty School in Ohio. She worked at Fiberglas in Huntingdon and retired from GTE / Sylvania in Altoona in 1980.
She was a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and Hollidaysburg Chapter 471 Order of Eastern Star.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11am Monday August 19, 2024, at the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11am with Pastor Marlys Hershberger officiating.
