Janet Betar-Eckenrode Obituary

Janet L. Betar-Eckenrode, Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday at her residence, following an illness.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard C. Frye Sr. and Catherine L. Mathieu. She married Raymond Eckenrode, who passed away in 2016.

Surviving are her children: Ashley Frye, Patricia Eckard (Dominick Jones), Jamie Eckard, Joan Betar, Sarah Settlemyer, Jazzmin Queen, Aleeta Queen, William Frye (Brooke Claus), David Frye and wife, Sabrina and Michael Dunne; 10 grandchildren: Legacy, Dezyre, Malakai, Kobe, Shawn, Summer, Aubree, Drayden, Reagan and Aiden; her twin sister, Patricia Yeager; and a brother, Richard Frye Jr.

She was preceded in death by children: Jessie Frye and Laura Imler.

Janet enjoyed gambling, bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.
