Jason J. Hemcher

Jason J. Hemcher, 51, of Duncansville, passed away Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of James and Bonnie (Steiner) Hemcher.

He is survived by his parents; his fiancé, Jaime Brooks; a daughter, Alexandra; a granddaughter, Brooklyn; three siblings: Shana Parks (Michael), Aaron Morris (Carrie), and Rashida Horton; nieces and nephews; two stepchildren; several aunts and uncles; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by both of his maternal and paternal grandparents; his stepmother, Cindy; and a stepbrother, Dustin.

Jason graduated in 1988 from Altoona Area High School. He worked as a bus mechanic, and then as a truck driver for over 25 years.

Jason loved riding his Harley, listening to heavy metal music, watching NASCAR, and going to concerts.           

Friends will be received from 5 to 7pm on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7pm. Pastor Michael Parks, officiating.
