Joan C. (Georgiana) Luciano

April 25, 1926 – May 26, 2023

Joan C. (Georgiana) Luciano, 97, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giovanna Georgiana.

She first married Robert J. Davidson, who preceded her in death in 1953. She then married Guy J. Luciano who preceded her in death in 2018 after sharing 59 years of marriage.

Surviving are three daughters: Joan Grassi, Anita Carvalho, and Suzi Glass (Tony); 13 grandchildren: Georgette, Joseph, Elizabeth, Joan, Zachary, Jessica, Max, Richard, Sara, Ana Marie, Shaunea, Dominique, Lucas; and 22 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbi Murray in 1992 and siblings: Mary Mento, Frances Sullivan, Lucy Boley, Elizabeth Georgiana, Josephine Schachtner, Angela Stetter, Theresa Malone, Joseph, Eugene, Andy, and Anthony Georgiana.

Joan graduated from Altoona High School and was a homemaker.

She volunteered for many different organizations and was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she prepared funeral luncheons for over 60 years.

Joan enjoyed being with her family, especially all of her many grandchildren.

Friends will be received 1 to 3 and 5 to 7pm Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a Vigil service will be held.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, with Fr. Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant.  Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
