John D. Byers Jr., 58, of Altoona, passed away Friday. He was born in Northern Cambria, son of the late John D. Sr. and Dora (Bailey) Byers.

Surviving are a son, David; a brother, Kenneth West; a nephew, Matthew Bailey; four nieces: Heaven and Ashley Bailey and Neveah and Kaydance West; a great nephew, Gary; and a great niece, Skyler.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Bailey.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
