John T. Lesnak, 80, of Altoona, formerly of Kittanning and Patton, passed away Saturday. He was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late John and Mary (Thomas) Lesnak.
Surviving are two daughters: Kathy Arnold and husband, Charlie, and Theresa Moses; two sons: John “Jay” and wife, Julie and Scott Nevitt; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Emma Miller and Joan Lesnak; a brother, Paul; and John’s longtime girlfriend, Mary Miller.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyanne.
John graduated from Patton High School and served in the US Army from 1962 to 1969. He retired as a truck driver.
Throughout his life, he was a member of the local VFW’s, American Legions, and Elks Clubs.
John enjoyed working on the computer and sport shooting.
