John Walter Obituary

John D. Walter, 69, of Altoona, passed away at Midtown Oaks. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Andrew Rudy Sr. and Jean (Engle) Walter.

Surviving are siblings: Andrew Jr. and wife Karen of Hollidaysburg, and Ruth Lykens and husband Jon of Duncansville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick, in 2016.

John graduated from Altoona High School in 1974, served in the USMC, and retired as a taxi cab driver.

There will be no public services at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
