John A. “Jack” Frank, 92, of Hollidaysburg passed away Monday at his residence. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Ralph A. and Mary (Carn) Frank. He married Jennie May Lindsey in 1953.
Surviving are his wife of 73 years; four daughters: Diane Castellucci and husband Pat of Hollidaysburg, Donna Emeigh and husband Mark of Hollidaysburg, Dolores Trimble and husband Brad in OH, and Della Wightman and husband Scott in KY; five sons: David and wife Marlene of Altoona, Denis and wife Cynthia, Douglas, Dale and wife Dawn all of Hollidaysburg, and Dwight and wife Sharon in KY; a daughter-in-law, Tammy; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Duane in 1980 and seven siblings: Elizabeth Reilly, Marjorie Stiffler, Eleanor Zimmerman, Ralph, Thomas, Carl, and Allen.
Jack graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1951 and worked as a salesman for Maximum Machine Co. for 34 years, and retired from the Altoona Johnstown Diocese in 1998 in Maintenance.
He was a 4th Degree Knight in Knights of Columbus Star of The Sea Council No. 4245, a member of Hollidaysburg Lions Club, the Allegheny Club, American Society of Highway Engineers of Hollidaysburg and the Bavarian Aid Society.
Jack enjoyed Farmall tractors, boarding horses, and working on the homestead.
Friends will be received from 12 noon to 2pm and 4 to 6pm Wednesday May 6, 2026 at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a Vigil service and Knights of Columbus Service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Private interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
