Joseph R. Bowers

June 27, 1954 - January 9, 2025

Joseph R. Bowers, 70, of Hollidaysburg passed away peacefully Thursday at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on Snake Spring Mountain, son of the late Melvin and Marjorie (Taylor) Bowers.

Surviving are his companion of 26 years, Leeann Willis; three daughters: Julie, Ashley, and Lindsay; two sons: Dennis and Christopher; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Guckin; a brother, Gary; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Eger and two brothers: Robert and Dennis.      

Joe enjoyed riding his motorcycle and listening to music.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12 noon, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon with Rev. Dr. John A. Godissart officiating.                        

Interment at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.
