Joseph Brewer passed away at home Friday night at age 78 in Altoona, PA. Born in Adah, PA.

He was a proud veteran of the Navy and served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his daughter Ariana N. Bewer, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his life partner Lori Callis Thompson in 2008. HIs parents preceded him in death, Viola Brewer & Robert Caldwell Brewer.

He has 5 siblings Carol Brewer (NYC), Margaret Jones, Marcella Rue, William Brewer (Pittsburgh, PA), & Jonathan (wife Hilda) Brewer (Poconos, PA).

He was a big fan of the Steelers football team, a very kindhearted and comical man, & enjoyed the company of others.

His family will have a private viewing at Trinity Lutheran Church of Juniata on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at 12:30pm. Family & close friends are welcomed to join.
