Joseph L. Eger

Joseph L. Eger, 94, of Hollidaysburg, reunited with his loving wife.  He was born in Bellwood, son of the late Henry M. and Naomi (Newkirk) Eger.  He married Shirley M. Kustaborder who preceded him in death in 1999.

Surviving are three daughters: Joann Eger of East Freedom, Diana Martellacci of Duncansville, and Karen McCreary of Hollidaysburg; four sons: Frank Garber in CA, Robert Garber in AZ, Ronald Garber in NV, and Richard Eger of Hollidaysburg; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Feathers of Duncansville.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas L. Robison.

Joe served in the US Army during WWII.  He retired as a carpenter from Pennington Construction, and in his spare time, he enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
