Joy A. Torres

Joy Anne Torres, age 48, died unexpectedly as a result of a cardiac event on April 3, 2021, at her residence in Altoona PA.  She was born in Johnstown PA, the daughter of John and Judith Torres of Buxton NC. 

Joy is survived by her parents, her brother John Torres, Jr. (Jennifer) of Bellefonte PA and their sons Trevor and Derek as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins, plus her dear friends, Jan and Destiny.

Joy was a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School in Johnstown, PA and Penn State University.  She had resided in the Altoona-Tyrone area for a number of years, where she enjoyed crafting handmade jewelry of semi-precious stones and decorating wooden keepsake boxes for sale at local craft shows.  Joy also loved animals, especially her beloved rabbits and cats.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona PA 16602.
