Joyce A. (Haynes) Melbinger

Joyce A. (Haynes) Melbinger, 83, of Duncansville, passed away at Elmcroft on Saturday. She was born in Cicero, IL, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Hattie Haynes.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Riddle; two sons: Michael and Timothy; five grandchildren: Pete, Lucy, Charlotte, Nathan, and Allison, and a great-granddaughter, Sonja. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred, and a sister, Harriet.

Joyce received a Masters of Library Science from Elmhurst College, and she retired as a Reference Librarian, working in Illinois and California. She was of the Catholic faith and was an active member of the Altoona Symphony League.

Friends will be received from 3-8pm on Saturday, Oct 17, 2020 at the family home: 1225 Walnut St., Hollidaysburg. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. Inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery.
