Judith A (Stombaugh) Shawley

Judith A. (Stombaugh) Shawley, 87, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Shiffler) Stombaugh. She married Irvin Shawley Jr. who preceded her in death in 2019 after sharing 61 years of marriage.

Surviving are two sons: David and wife, Deb in IL and Michael and wife, Staci of New Enterprise; and four grandchildren: Hope, Joy, Bethany, and Aaron.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Louise Hart, Marion Stombaugh, and Jean Price.

Judy was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School and worked as a medical secretary.

She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville Campus, and enjoyed cross stitch, jigsaw puzzles, travelling to the beach, and spending time with her family.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at the Village at Morrisons Cove, and her friend and caregiver, Pilar Garlick.

All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
