Katherine L. (Mathers) Beck, 71, of Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Katherine (Forrest) Mathers. She married Samuel E. Beck in 1995. Surviving are her husband of 25 years; three sons: Donovan J. Halloran of Tyrone, Christopher Halloran in NJ, James Halloran in WA; a grandson, Shawn Halloran; three sisters: Jolinda Reighard, Jane Smith, Susan Strickler; a brother, Ed Hallett; stepchildren: Lori Beck, Tammy Lee, Debbie Wert, Sam Beck; 7 step-grandchildren, and 13 step-great grandchildren.
Kathi graduated from Altoona High School in 1968, the Altoona School of Commerce in 1974, and St. Francis University with a BS in Business Administration. She worked as a financial aid officer and enjoyed sister trips and loved being with her family and friends.
