Kenneth G. Geesey

Feb. 16, 1949 – Jan 06, 2022 

Kenneth Gene Geesey, 72, of Altoona, passed away Thursday due to illness while surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Boyd Francis and Nora E. (Spidel) Geesey.

Surviving is his spouse, Wendy Geesey; two sons, Joel and Mark Geesey; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Boyer. 

Ken was a 1967 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and a 1972 Graduate from Lock Haven University with a bachelor’s in English. He held a number of positions during his life to include: Conrail Executive, High School English Teacher, U.S. Army Officer and Investment Advisor. 

While in the U.S. Army Reserve, he was the 298th U.S. Army Reserve Medical Company Commander and was awarded the Army Medal of Commendation. He was discharged with the rank of Major. 

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
