Leanor Yingling, 101, of Hollidaysburg, died Saturday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Martinsburg, daughter of the late Ross A. and Daisy (Beegle) Detwiler.
She married Homer T. Yingling on March 13, 1943 in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2008 after 65 years of marriage.
Surviving are two daughters: Janice D. Frazzini and husband, Thomas, of Export, and Bonnie K. Diehl of Boonesboro, Md.; a son, Steven M. and wife, Debra, of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; a sister, Freda M. Barnes, of Indiana, Pa.; and one brother: Samuel E. Detwiler, of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law.
Mrs. Yingling was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Hollidaysburg, a member of the Women's Guild, and sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of Hollidaysburg Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 471 where she served as Star Point Electa for many years, and a graduate of Martinsburg High School Class of 1937. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family very much.
All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. Interment will take place at Presbyterian Cemetery in Hollidaysburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Reformed Church in Hollidaysburg.
