Leonard J. Metz

Leonard J. Metz, 78, of West Loop Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona following a brief illness. He was born in Pontiac, Ml, son of the late William and Lily (Gummo) Metz. He married Nadene Goss, who preceded him in death in 2022.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa "Dinky" Hilton of Lakemont; two sons: Robert and wife Donna of Cresson, and Matthew and girlfriend Mary of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Brittany, Ashley, Molly, Robert, Matthew, Jessica, and Haley; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Becker and fiancée Brad Baker; his companion and care giver, Violet Murphy, and sister-in-law, Sharon Metz. He was preceded in death by his brother and fishing buddy, William, and a brother-in-law, Terry Becker.

Lenny graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1964, and retired from Berwind White Car Shops in 1999.

He was a member of Loop Sportsmen's Club.

Lenny enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his dog Buddy, and cruising West Loop in his golf cart. He especially enjoyed tinkering in his pavilion.
