Leslie F. Chewning Sr., 74, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Levittown, passed away Saturday. He was born in Bristol, son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth (Grotz) Chewning.
Surviving are his wife, Annette (Palmer); a daughter, Jennifer, all of Hollidaysburg; a son, Leslie Jr. and wife, Giovanna of Secane; five grandchildren: Aidan, Ariana, Brianna, Parker, Zachary; a sister, Beverly; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Delores Churchray, Edgar Jr., Sidney, and John.
Les served in the US Army during Vietnam.
He retired from Delaware Valley Scrap after 44 years as a yard foreman.
Les loved watching Pittsburgh sports teams.
There will be no public services at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
