Linda L. (Ringler) Schaefer

Linda L. (Ringler) Schaefer, 72, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at her residence. She was born in Hollidaysburg, raised by late grandparents George and Anna Ringler. She married Robert L. Schaefer Sr. in 1966.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years; daughters: Michele L. Boland and husband David of Newry, and Lori L. Bartlebaugh and husband, Tony of Hollidaysburg; sons: Robert L. Jr. and wife Becky of Williamsburg, and Douglas L. of Altoona; 4 grandchildren: Kira (Andrew), Zachary (Brittany), Mackenzie, and Elijah; and 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosemary Hannan of Hollidaysburg.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired as a First Deputy of the Prothonotary. She was a member of Lakemont and Hollidaysburg Lions Clubs, Girls Scouts, where she was a former regional Director. She was formerly a member of Hollidaysburg Church of God where she served as Treasurer, and was a current member of Lakemont First Church of God. Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at the Lakemont First Church of God, where memorials may be made in lieu of flowers: 404 Baynton Ave, Altoona, PA 16602. Pastors Ken Smith and Matt Hornberger officiating.
