Lloyd H. McCready

Lloyd H. McCready Sr., 79, of Bedford, passed away Thursday.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Dorothy (Burket) McCready.  He married Janet Weyandt, who preceded him in death in 2015 after sharing 37 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Shunae Dennis and husband Robert of Bedford; two sons: Lloyd Jr. and wife Chasity of Claysburg, and Richard of Altoona; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Robert and Michael.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John in 2022.

Lloyd graduated from Altoona High School in 1963 and retired as a cutter at Cove Shoe Co.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking, playing pool, and watching Westerns.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12pm on Saturday Jan 4, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church of Osterburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon.
