Lorentz Gerlach Sr., 77, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of the late George Eisel and Lucy Wicker. He married Sondra Wicker in 1977.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years; 4 sons: Lorentz Jr. (Jess), Loren (Rebecca), Lones (Cherrise), and Lance; 11 grandchildren: Kiersten, Alyssa, Lones Jr., Loren Jr., Levi, Haylee, Liam, Luna, Leeon, Luke, and Lilly; 1 brother, Stanford (Denise); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Wilson.
Lorentz was a retired truck driver, and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Lorentz will be sadly missed by all.
Friends will be received from 12 to 2pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm with Pr. Richard Maher officiating.
