Lori Michelle (Brandt) Russell

Lori M. (Brandt) Russell, 63, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Marjorie (Bergstein) and the late Daniel Brandt. She married Jerry Russell on June 16, 1991.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years; a son, Shane (Alecia); two step-children: Donny Russell, Dana Russell; grandchildren: Jordan, Shane Jr., and Dylan; her mother; and  a brother, Kevin Brandt (Karen); and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Dunn in 2003.

Lori was a 1979 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Greater Altoona CTC where she obtained her cosmetology license.

She worked as a hairstylist and retired from Mane Effects after 44 years.

Lori was a former member of Daughters of The Nile and attended The Well of Blair County.

She enjoyed the beach, Pittsburgh Pirate games, and attending concerts.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4pm, Monday August 11, 2025 at The Well of Blair County, where a celebration of life will immediately follow at 4pm with Rev. Dr. John A. Godissart officiating.
